Head of Dispatch Deparment

We are seeking a Head of Dispatch Division to lead our dispatch department, ensuring efficient and smooth coordination of our fleet operations. This role focuses on supervising dispatchers, strengthening communication between drivers and dispatch, optimizing fleet performance, and maintaining a high level of service and profitability.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven U.S. trucking dispatch experience

• Hands-on experience working with dry vans, reefers, and flatbeds
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to manage multiple details while maintaining focus on priorities
• Passion for operational excellence and commitment to achieving results
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and emotional stability under pressure
• Strong communication skills, especially in driver-dispatcher interactions
• Ability to mentor, develop, and hold team members accountable
• Experience working with KPIs (RPM, miles, deadhead, margins)
• Alignment with upper management’s vision and company goals
• English proficiency — Upper Intermediate (B2+) or higher

What will you be responsible for?

• Supervise and develop a team of dispatchers, ensuring they meet operational and financial targets
• Optimize load assignments to maximize efficiency, profitability, and on-time delivery
• Oversee operations across dry vans, reefers, and flatbeds
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex driver issues and operational challenges
• Monitor dispatcher and driver performance using KPIs and implement improvements
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment
• Maintain proper load documentation and system accuracy
• Conduct regular coordination meetings to align team efforts with company objectives
• Report performance metrics, operational challenges, and improvement strategies to senior management
• Ensure continuous improvement in fleet utilization and service quality

8 AM — 5 PM CST
